Review highlights
Based on 992 reviewsSkagit Valley Burger Express is widely praised for its flavorful and juicy burgers, with many customers highlighting specialty options like the Atomic Mushroom burger and unique menu items such as the SoDo dog. The quality of sides, including crispy onion rings and sweet potato or waffle fries paired with distinctive sauces, is consistently appreciated. Guests note the reasonable pricing and family-friendly menu choices, particularly the generous-sized kids' meals. While the service is generally described as friendly and efficient, some reviews mention a slightly longer wait time, which patrons feel is justified by the food quality. The casual, mostly outdoor dining environment adds to the roadside charm of this fast-casual spot in Sedro-Woolley.
We stopped here for dinner at this drive through establishment on the way home from our roadtrip. They were about 2 cars in front of us so not too long of a wait. We ordered the SoDo dog with sweet potato fries, blackberry milkshake and a Skagit Valley burger with added bacon, onion rings and peanutbutter milkshake. My wife declared that her Sodo dog was one of the best hotdogs she's had in her life with the quality of the meat being superb. My Skagit Valley burger was tasty and the onion rings were big and filling. Both milkshake were satisfactory although make sure you order the 16 oz because the 9 oz sizes were quite small. We would totally stop here again for dinner whenever we're in the area.
Just had this for the first time, and all I can say is wow. These hamburgers were incredible, and this is coming from someone who is pretty picky about them. For sure the best burgers in the valley (I can now say that I've tried every restaurant that serves burgers in the area). I ordered the atomic mushroom and Swiss burger, and between the mushrooms cheese and bacon, the proportions of ingredients were perfect. I'm normally a bit of a critic of these kinds of buns, but in this instance I think they went well with the burgers. The side of waffle fries I ordered were quite tasty as well. I highly recommend this place.
We had a delicious experience at this roadside establishment. The atomic burger was delicious and the child burger meal is a brilliant addition to the menu. This place is priced right and we will be coming back.
The burgers are so juicy and delicious. And the onion rings are sooo crunchy. It takes a while to get the food though, but it's worth it.
It was the best burger I've had in a while. I got the Atomic Mushroom burger. Added an onion ring. It was, indeed, the bomb. Waffle fries with their special sauce was also a win. Heads up, the kids slider burger is no slider. It's a normal sized cheeseburger. The kid was not prepared with that kinda appetite this time. Service was good, folks were friendly. Atmosphere was just outside seating. They have the option of a drive thru as well. They do have this curious wood carved table where a hot dog person is holding a table at crotch level, with a burger at the end. It could be perceived as a hot dog person with a burger weiner/boner. Definitely the best seat in the house. Lol.
This vegan approves! We asked for the veggie burger with no cheese or mayo and they made it no questions asked, great friendly accurate service, very tasty good quality burger. Will be back!
Stopped by for lunch on a Thursday on our way to Winthrop. There was only one (two) customer(s) who left right when we got there. Amazing burgers! And the owners were friendly and helpful. The price is a bit steep for a small joint; yet the quality of the food makes up for it. I highly recommend this place!
